Social networks, your blog, your twitter, your myspace, your facebook, even your live journal (current mood: bloggy) is how an entire generation and then some will talk to each other. I mean it will be their primary means of communication. Social media is that new word of mouth, it is the restaurant and product reviews. Social media is how everyone will say that they liked the new movie or disliked the new album. This new word of mouth is the new wild-wild west of marketing and branding and technology.
An internet junkie since back in the day of dreamweaver, hotmetal, hotdog, cfstudio, notepad. I have seen tables come (Netscape 1.1) and go (so unfashionable now), remember fondly of applets and how “XML” was the most misused word on the internet, you know before “AJAX” and “Viral” were.
Now that we are in the Web 2 point something realm there is no lack of things to learn. I am especially interested in social media, social networks and ice cream socials.
A former project manager, DBA and programmer (CF4life!) the whole new and exciting is well, cool. Now the ideas are strategic, the medium may not even exist and the cool ideas are happening daily.
